CARDIAC SONOGRAPHY

Echocardiogram checks how your heart's chambers and valves are pumping blood through your heart. An echocardiogram uses electrodes to check your heart rhythm and ultrasound technology to see how blood moves through your heart. An echocardiogram can help your doctor diagnose heart conditions.

Stress echocardiography also called echocardiography stress test or stress echo, is a procedure that determines how well your heart and blood vessels are working. During a stress  echocardiography, you’ll exercise on a treadmill or stationary bike while your doctor monitors your blood pressure and heart rhythm.  When your heart rate reaches peak levels, your doctor will take ultrasound images of your heart to determine whether your heart muscles are getting enough blood and oxygen while you exercise.

VASCULAR SONOGRAPHY

Vascular ultrasound (also referred to as a duplex study) is a noninvasive and remarkably versatile procedure used to examine the circulation in the blood vessels of the body. It can also evaluate arteries or veins in nearly any part of the body.

Carotid ultrasound tests for blocked or narrowed carotid arteries, which can increase the risk of stroke. The results can help your doctor determine a treatment to lower your stroke risk.

Lower extremity ultrasound is used to evaluate blood flow through major veins in the legs. The most common reason for a venous ultrasound exam is to search for blood clots. This condition is often referred to as deep vein thrombosis or DVT.

Arterial duplex ultrasound uses sound waves to create a color map of the arteries in your legs to identify: Narrowing of your vessels that may be causing leg pain when walking.

PULMONARY FUNCTION TESTING

Pulmonary function testing is a group of tests that measure how well the lungs are working. These tests can help diagnose lung diseases, monitor the progression of a disease, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment. The tests typically measure lung volume, capacity, rates of flow, and gas exchange.
